    one final grade in
I got a B in social problems class. I'll take it.

Today was the most stressing test ive ever taken. I needed only a little more than half the points to maintain a B, but if i got an A, i'd get an A in the class. So its a 200 point test, im thinking i need about 120 points. I count up how many points i know for sure that i knew i'd get...only about 105. I was really mad, then i added up the point total and it was only 160. So i know that i'll get 105, plus others were up in the air, plus a extra credit question that i should get at least partial credit on.

    so much for being realistic
So i talked to naz just before walking out the door about christmas eve. She said it was "pretty much" mandatory to work it. I told her about what i was doing and she said "well i have you down to work until 5" which is already later than i ever worked on christmas eve. She said "i know that you go to church on christmas eve night..." So i reminded her that we usually go at 4, but as i said in my last post, we're doing things differently and i cant even work until then. She said "well you're gonna work until 5 and thats all there is to it, i bend over backwards for you people all year long and if you want to work here and cant work during christmas, then dont even bother showing your face in this store." So i told her "ok" and thats all i said. She then said "you're gonna call out sick arent you?" i told her "no, that would result in being written up wouldnt it? I dont want that..." she said "yeah it pretty much would, that goes for any weekend from here to the end of the year." She then decided that she had to re-tell me that "I have you down from open to 5 o'clock." I said "ok, i understand" and thats all that was said. Anyone who has worked at FYE or that knows me somewhat well, knows that i dont like the job much and that when family events are going on, i will NOT miss them.

That leads me to my next dilemma, which i could use some imput on: From the way Naz made it sound, if i leave before x-mas, i will be put into the computer as "not re-hireable". I also still need some money between now and x-mas, so i dont want to tell her that im leaving on dec 23 and then have her tell me to go fly a kite and not come back to work until then. I also dont want to quit on the spot because that will look bad too. Im not so concerned about not being able to work there again, im just debating whether i should wait so that i can make sure i have the money to buy gifts and that i can not have to run out and get a job the next day, but i dont want to quit on the spot, because it will affect more than jus Naz and i dont want to bring that hardship onto my co-workers.

    Suggestions?

christmas eve different this year - early leave from FYE?
This year we will be doing christmas eve gathering before church. Usually i would work from 10-3 at FYE and then meet the family at church and then we'd get together afterwards for dinner. This year we'll be meeting before church, around 1 pm. Im not going to miss christmas eve with my family so that i can work at shithole. And i will not work 10-12. That will hardly cover for the gas it takes to get there. It wouldnt be worth it. So now, im faced with the decision - can i leave on Dec 23 and pick up some side jobs until i leave for SU? Will I be able to work at the job that Tom had suggested where we carry boxes out to cars. Thats only seasonal, but will it suffice? Could a few hours at the range help? I know Mr. Bob is always lookin for people to come in an hand pick, eventhough its cold...i guess i could do it, i dont want to though. Im sure i'll figure out something.

You've got the map, so it's up to you to decide where to go next. Be as adventurous as you like. You may not have exact directions, but you know you want to chart a new course for all those who want to come along. Your grasp of the situation is even better than usual right now. With everything that's going on, this is a good time to consider putting off a few mundane chores. Any extra details will only muddy the water.

    dream
Last night i had a dream that i called out of work and my excuse was that i ran over and broke the legs of a cat that was in the road and that i had to take the guy who owned the cat to the animal hospital. When my alarm went off, i remember thinking that i had already passed off that lame made up excuse to not work and that i had the day off. I turned off the alarm and went back to bed. I ended up being a coupla minutes late.

    Go Red Sox!

I figured it out - with her help
For a while now i have been trying to figure out where i know this one girl from who is in my statistics class. Not until today when she asked me after our health class when our stat homework was due did i realize that she was in both of the classes. lol.

I went over to Jillians to watch the ballgame last night on my break. Thats the first time ive eaten there. Heres the report card:

Service: B+. The waiter was very nice and wasted no time in bringing me a water even before greeting me at my table. He also made sure that i got a burger out quick since i was only on a break from work. However, even while knowing this, he was pretty slow at getting me the check and running my card through.

Food: B. The fries were excellent. However the burger was not. The bun was nicely toasted, but the burger was a bit too roasted.

Atmosphere: A+. Large television screens and showing multiple sporting events at once, all while you eat, fans into the game and cheering them on was acceptable here, and made for lots of fun. Wait staff was also dressed in football uniforms for MNF.

Bang for your buck: B+. A burger, fries, and a drink, plus a tip cost just 10 dollars. (bill was 7, 3 for tip)

My brother actually watched the Red Sox/Yankees game last night. He hasnt watched baseball in YEARS. He half watched it the night before when i had it on and he was at the computer. When i got home from work he says "Did you hear the red sox won!?! That Ortiz guy did it again, and i knew he would because he was getting bad calls all night and he was pretty mad about it. It went into 14 innings and was the longest game time wise ever in the playoffs." - Wow. I didnt know he was watching it that closely to pick up all that!

Hopefully the Sox can pull another one out tonight. GO RED SOX!!!!

    red sox come back
I watched most of the 5 hour marathon aka Red Sox - Yankees ALCS game 4. Faced with elimination and with the best statistical post-season pitcher ever to play the game, the Red Sox kept their hopes alive by tying the game. Then in the 12th inning, David Ortiz hit a homerun to send it to game 5. One of the best games ive seen in a long time. (of course i wouldnt be saying that if the yankees won ;) )

    Keep the faith Sox fans!

Just 19 days until the election! I was in marley station mall today taking my bro to an interview at suncoast and i stopped in the halloween store and saw that they had masks of both bush and kerry. My speedometer is still acting funny, i dont know what needs to be done to fix it or how much it will cost? Ive also picked up a cold somewhere in the last 2 or so days.

    second presidential debate
I cought some of it on the re-run as i got home. My favorite quote of the night was after J.K. said that Bush was a small business owner, owning a lumber company. Bush responded "I own a lumber company?...thats news to me...need any wood?"

here are some wordage breakdown of the debate:

    Pres. Bush
    Terrorists—17
    Wrong—7
    My opponent—7
    Taxes—26
    Threat—10
    Iraq—10

    Sen. John Kerry
    The president—68
    Plan—33
    Iraq—11
    Lost jobs—10
    Alliance—9

    new cd
i picked up george strait's 50 #1 hits today. On the way home for some reason as im driving down the road, my speedometer says im doing 0 mph. It stayed that way for a minute or so, and then it just went back to normal? I dunno what that was all about.

Tomorrow i will be helping Dr Alduino register people to vote. To those who are reading and arent registered, remember you must be registered by oct 12 in order to vote in this years presidential election.

I dont have my political science class on friday because the professor wants go to out of town.

How rediculious is this...? Im in health class today and for some reason, half an hour before class is over, people began to pack up their things. Then the professor says "well i guess if ya'll are packin up it must be time to go...see ya thursday and we'll cover protein then...actually we should have covered it today but thats ok"
